DaysofPal- The Hamas Movement said Thursday that the killing of Yasser Abu Shabab represents “the inevitable fate” awaiting anyone who chooses to collaborate with the Israeli occupation or betray the Palestinian people.
In an official statement, Hamas said Abu Shabab’s actions, along with those of the group described as his “gang”, constituted “a blatant departure from national and social norms” and a moral deviation that has no connection to the values and traditions of Palestinian society.
The movement praised the clear positions taken by families, clans, and tribes that publicly disowned Abu Shabab and anyone involved in harming Palestinians or cooperating with Israel.
Hamas stressed that such individuals “represent no one but themselves,” describing them as an isolated minority.
Hamas stated that the Israeli occupation is increasingly relying on “socially and morally fallen gangs” operating outside the law to advance its agendas in Gaza, calling this dependence a sign of Israel’s inability to break Palestinian resilience.
According to the statement, “the Israeli occupation, which cannot even protect its own collaborators, will not be able to safeguard any of its agents,” warning that anyone who undermines the security of their people or serves the Israeli occupation will ultimately “end up in the dustbin of history, stripped of respect and dignity.”
The Movement emphasized that the unity of Palestinian families, tribes, and national institutions remains a protective shield against efforts to undermine the social fabric in Gaza. Hamas vowed that Palestinian society would never provide cover for “criminal groups or suspicious projects,” regardless of who supports them.
In related developments, the Israeli Army’s Radio reported Thursday that Yasser Abu Shabab was killed in the Rafah area, stating he was shot dead by an unidentified armed group.
Israeli Channel 12 quoted a security official saying Abu Shabab was transported to Soroka Medical Center, where he later died of his wounds.
