DaysofPal- Hamas on Friday condemned the “massacres” carried out by Israeli occupation forces in the Gaza Strip, which left 13 Palestinians dead, saying the escalation reflects the failure of mediators and guarantors of the ceasefire agreement to curb ongoing violations.
In a statement, the movement said the intensifying bombardment and killings in Gaza point to a clear inability on the part of mediators and the international community to uphold their responsibilities and stop what it called continuing crimes against Palestinians.
Hamas described the incidents as a “bloody escalation” and “full-fledged war crimes,” accusing Israel of pursuing an unprecedented level of violence in full view of the international community without regard for consequences.
The group called on the international community and all relevant parties to take immediate action to protect Palestinians and to pressure Israel to comply with its obligations under the ceasefire agreement and respect international humanitarian law.
It also urged people worldwide to increase public pressure on Israel and its supporters, including through expanding boycott campaigns in various forms, in an effort to halt the violations.
According to local reports, 13 Palestinians were killed and several others injured on Friday in Israeli air and artillery strikes targeting multiple areas in northern and southern Gaza.
An airstrike on a police vehicle in the Bir 19 area of al-Mawasi, west of Khan Younis, killed eight people, including four police officers and personnel, and injured others.
In northern Gaza, three people were killed, including a young brother and sister, when artillery fire struck a home belonging to the al-Tanani family near Kamal Adwan Hospital.
These incidents come as part of ongoing reported violations of the ceasefire agreement that has been in effect since October 10, 2025, following two years of genocide that killed more than 72,000 Palestinians and injured over 172,000, most of them women and children.
On April 14, Gaza’s Government Media Office said in a statement that Israel had committed 2,400 violations of the ceasefire agreement, including killings, arrests, blockade measures, and restrictions affecting access to food.
According to the Ministry of Health in Gaza, these violations have resulted in the deaths of 972 Palestinians and injuries to 2,235 others.
Separately, data compiled by Anadolu Agency based on official figures from Gaza’s Health Ministry indicated a sharp increase in casualties over a recent 17-day period. Between April 8 and April 24, Israeli attacks killed 249 Palestinians and injured 212 others. This marks a more than fivefold increase compared to the preceding 17 days, from March 22 to April 7, when 46 people were killed and 176 injured.
