DaysofPal- The Hamas Movement said that the new decisions approved by the Israeli security cabinet targeting Palestinians in the occupied West Bank fall within a broader plan of annexation and a genocidal war and ethnic cleansing campaign pursued by the Israeli far-right government.
In a press statement on Sunday, Hamas said the Israeli cabinet’s measures include land confiscation, opening land registry records for the benefit of Israeli settlers, and attempts to undermine the authority of Palestinian municipalities and national institutions, particularly the Hebron Municipality.
Hamas said these policies reflect a “fascist settlement approach” aimed at imposing false sovereignty and altering geographic and legal realities on the ground as part of a comprehensive annexation scheme.
The movement renewed its call for Palestinian national unity and urged agreement on a unified program to resist the occupation and confront settlement expansion.
It also called on Palestinians, particularly youth in the West Bank and Jerusalem, to escalate confrontations with Israeli forces and settlers using all available means to thwart annexation, Judaization, and forced displacement plans.
Hamas stressed that the Palestinian people would not accept Israeli policies and would continue to uphold their historical rights, emphasizing that resistance remains the chosen path to ending the occupation.
It added that the legitimacy of the land is established through steadfastness and resilience, and that such decisions do not grant Israel any right to Palestinian territory.
The movement further urged Arab and Islamic countries to assume their historical responsibilities in confronting Israeli annexation plans, calling for concrete steps, including severing ties with the Israeli occupation and expelling its ambassadors from countries that maintain relations with it, to strengthen a unified Arab and Islamic position.
Hamas also appealed to the United Nations and the international community to exert effective pressure on Israel to halt its violations and to hold it accountable for ongoing crimes against the Palestinian people.
