DaysofPal- The Hamas Movement said that the Israeli occupation is repeatedly violating the Gaza ceasefire agreement, affirming that the ongoing actions on the ground demonstrate a clear attempt to evade and ultimately collapse the deal.
In a statement released on Friday, Hamas said it and other Palestinian factions had fully adhered to all provisions of the Sharm El-Sheikh ceasefire agreement, including the scheduled handover of prisoners and bodies, despite significant challenges caused by widespread destruction in the Gaza Strip.
The Movement noted that the Israeli occupation’s government, led by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, has failed to uphold its commitments, continuing military operations “under the cover of the agreement.”
According to the statement, daily violations include the killing of civilians, including women and children, tightening of the blockade, and policies of starvation.
It also cited the continued closure, or only partial opening, of the Rafah crossing, as well as changes to designated buffer zones, as further evidence of non-compliance.
Hamas argued that these actions reflect a broader pattern of disregard for the agreement and for mediation efforts, accusing Israel of seeking to derail the deal entirely.
The statement described the continued military activity despite the ceasefire as an extension of the war against civilians, warning that the situation represents a severe humanitarian, political, and legal crisis affecting more than two million people in Gaza.
Hamas called on mediators and guarantor states to take a firm stance, urging them to condemn the alleged violations and ensure the full implementation of the agreement.
It stressed the need to hold the Israeli occupation accountable to its commitments and to bring an end to the worsening humanitarian conditions in the territory.
The accusations come amid ongoing Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip, where the ceasefire agreement has been under increasing strain due to continued Israeli crimes and restrictions on aid and movement.
