DaysofPal- Hamas Movement has condemned the continued Israeli targeting of the police system in the Gaza Strip, stating that such crimes are aimed at perpetuating lawlessness and instability in the territory.
In a press statement issued on Sunday, the movement said repeated Israeli attacks on police personnel constitute part of a broader strategy to maintain insecurity and disrupt efforts to restore normal life in Gaza.
Hamas stated that “the ongoing Israeli targeting of the police system in the Gaza Strip is a continuation of the enemy’s crimes and terrorism against our Palestinian people,” adding that the objective is to sustain a state of security breakdown, spread chaos, and hinder recovery efforts.
The Movement renewed its call on the international community, as well as mediators and guarantors of the ceasefire agreement, to intervene and halt the Israeli daily violations.
According to Hamas, more than 850 Palestinians have been killed since the ceasefire came into effect in October last year.
Earlier on Sunday, the director of the Criminal Investigation Department in Khan Younis, Lieutenant Colonel Wissam Fayez Abdulhadi, was killed along with his assistant, Sergeant Fadi Abdulmuti Heikal, in an Israeli strike targeting their vehicle in the Al-Amal neighborhood in southern Gaza.
Hamas said that the Israeli bombing is part of the ongoing Israeli genocide against Gaza’s people and security and police institutions.
