DaysofPal- Hamas has issued a call for three consecutive days of worldwide protests beginning Friday, as the Palestinian militant group seeks to mobilize international pressure against Israel’s ongoing offensive in Gaza that has now stretched across 600 days.

On Tuesday, the Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas designated the coming days, Friday and Saturday, May 30 and 31, and Sunday, June 1, as “days of global anger through demonstrations, marches, and mass sit-ins in all cities and squares until the genocide and starvation against civilians, children, and women is stopped.”

In a press release, Hamas praised existing global solidarity movements while calling for intensified pressure through all available means. The organization urged supporters to “raise the voice against the occupation and in solidarity with the Gaza Strip, Jerusalem, and the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque.”

“The occupation continues its brutal aggression against the Gaza Strip and continues to escalate the war of annihilation and starvation against unarmed civilians, children, and women for 600 days, in a blatant violation of all international norms and laws and shameless disregard for all UN resolutions and the positions of countries that reject its crimes and call for an end to its aggression,” the statement read.

Hamas reiterated its call for “the masses of our nation, free people, people of conscience, bodies, and institutions in the world” to continue and escalate all forms of activism against what it described as ongoing crimes of annihilation and starvation.

The movement also renewed its appeal to governments worldwide to denounce what it calls Israeli war crimes and to take “concrete punitive measures that oblige the government of war criminal Benjamin Netanyahu to stop its brutal aggression and push towards holding him accountable for his crimes against humanity.”

A few days ago, Hamas called on all countries of the world to condemn Israeli crimes against the Palestinian people, and to move to impose concrete punitive measures that oblige the government of war criminal Benjamin Netanyahu to

stop its brutal aggression, and push towards holding him accountable for his crimes against humanity.

The call to action comes against the backdrop of a worsening humanitarian and military situation in Gaza. The Israeli military resumed its large-scale offensive on March 18 after walking away from a temporary ceasefire agreement. Since then, Israeli airstrikes and ground assaults have killed over 3,800 people and injured approximately 11,000, according to Gaza’s Ministry of Health.

On May 18, Israel launched a new phase of its military campaign under the name “Gideon’s Chariots,” intensifying its operations across Gaza. The campaign, which began in October 2023, has already resulted in catastrophic human losses.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who is wanted by the International Criminal Court on charges of war crimes, has stated that Israel’s objective is to occupy the entire Gaza Strip.

Since October 7, over 175,000 Palestinians have been reported dead or injured, many of them women and children, while more than 11,000 remain missing. The relentless bombardment and ground invasions have displaced hundreds of thousands of people, pushing Gaza’s population further into desperation.
