DaysofPal- Hamas said on Monday that the persistent violence in Gaza exposes the Israeli occupation’s efforts to dismantle the current ceasefire agreement.
The movement’s spokesperson, Hazem Qassem, said in a press statement that daily attacks against residents of the Gaza Strip have not stopped since the ceasefire was announced. He added that these actions have been accompanied by a tightening blockade, despite the resistance’s commitment to the terms of the agreement.
He stressed that the situation reflects a clear decision by Israel to undermine and collapse the ceasefire, despite ongoing efforts by mediators to preserve it. He called for a clear and firm position from mediators and guarantor states, along with the international community, to clarify their stance regarding the agreement, pointing to Israel’s full withdrawal from its obligations and deliberate disruption of all related processes.
Qassem also described the conditions in Gaza as a continuous catastrophe, citing ongoing killings, a severe blockade, and worsening humanitarian conditions. He said these factors have hindered reconstruction efforts and intensified the crisis faced by civilians.
On the ground, several Palestinians were killed and others injured early Monday following an Israeli airstrike southeast of Gaza City.
Medical sources reported that three people were killed and several others wounded, some critically, when Israeli aircraft targeted a group of civilians near a mosque in the Zeitoun neighborhood in the southern part of the city.
Local sources identified two of the victims as Ahmed Oweida and Hassan Al-Malah. Additional injuries were reported in the same attack.
According to the Palestinian Ministry of Health, the number of Palestinians killed since the ceasefire came into effect on October 11, 2025, has reached approximately 704, along with more than 1,000 injuries and hundreds of recovered bodies.
The overall toll since the outbreak of the war on October 7, 2023, has risen to 72,580 deaths and 172,013 injuries.
