DayofPal– The Israeli military has issued an ultimatum to Gaza’s Kamel Adwan Hospital, located in the northern region of the besieged Gaza Strip, demanding the immediate evacuation of staff and patients by tomorrow.
Gaza Health Ministry reported that the Israeli army is currently besieging Kamal Adwan Hospital in northern Gaza and firing at the hospital’s administration office. The ministry has issued a series of alarming statements on the regard.
The hospital administration has appealed to the international organizations to intervene and halt the dangerous decision that came amid a dire crisis of fuel inflicting the hospital.
This comes at a time the hospital has been filled with casualties and injuries from Jabalia, the area Israeli forces is invading right now.
Just east of the hospital, Palestinians are facing large-scale Israeli ground assaults and massive airstrikes. The situation is equally grim as Israeli forces have imposed a full siege on Jabalia camp and surrounding neighborhoods such as Tal Al-Za’atar, Al-Sikka, Beit Hanoun, and Beit Lahia.
Tanks and drone aircraft have blocked critical roads, including the junction leading to Al-Halabi Square in Jabalia, isolating residents who are already enduring relentless airstrikes and artillery fire.
Several families are reportedly trapped under the rubble as rescue teams were unable to reach them.
Director of Kamal Adwan Hospital, Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya, said that Israel seeks to dismantle the health system in northern Gaza as part of an effort to ethnically cleanse Palestinians from the north, urging international bodies to intervene.
The hospital, now on the brink of closure due to an imminent fuel shortage, is one of several healthcare facilities, which were reoperated following Israeli attacks then put under siege.
Gaza’s health officials have warned that Kamel Adwan Hospital could run out of fuel within hours, rendering it inoperable. Without immediate international intervention, the hospital will be forced to shut down, leaving thousands of civilians without access to medical care in the heart of an escalating war zone.
The Israeli military’s actions are severely hindering the hospital’s ability to function, and there are growing concerns that the broader healthcare system in northern Gaza could be forced offline, leading to mass displacement of civilians in the region.
The evacuation of Kamal Adwan coincides with othe Israeli threats to the Indonesian, and Al-Awda hospitals, which have been warned of facing the same fate as Al-Shifa Hospital, with destruction, killing, and arrests if not complied with.
