Gaza’s government media office said July 10th in a statement that no aid or medical equipment have been permitted to enter Gaza in the past 65 days, “which poses risks to the lives of thousands of children, the sick and civilians”.
“Hundreds of thousands of tonnes of aid and medical equipment are piling up on the other side of border crossings into Gaza – a crime of historic proportions that reflects the moral decadence of various countries supporting the Israeli onslaught,” the statement added.
The media office condemned the Israeli decision, backed by the US, to “starve our people”, deeming “these actions are part of the ongoing genocide committed by the Israeli occupation and the United States against civilians, including children, women, the sick, and the hungry, now into its tenth month.
A new study by the British medical journal, the Lancet, has estimated that the actual death toll of Palestinians in Gaza who were killed as a result of Israel’s genocidal war on could exceed 186,000 with calculations of indirect deaths, including starving people to death.
UNICEF said 3500 Gaza children are on verge of death due to malnutrition with more than 44 have already died since the start of war.
