DaysofPal – The Gaza Strip’s Government Media Office (GMO) announced on Tuesday that Israeli forces have violated the ceasefire agreement 738 times since October 10, describing it as a deliberate and systematic attempt to erode the truce and undermine international humanitarian law.
In its statement, the GMO said Israeli forces continued to carry out “serious and ongoing breaches” of the agreement. According to the office, the violations include direct gunfire against civilians, repeated military incursions into residential districts, widespread bombardment and airstrikes, and the demolition of civilian homes, institutions, and buildings.
These actions have resulted in 386 deaths, 980 injuries, and 43 unlawful arrests since the ceasefire began.
The GMO also emphasized that Israel has failed to respect even the minimum level of humanitarian aid required under the agreement. Of the 36,000 aid trucks expected to enter Gaza over 60 days, only 13,511 have been allowed in, averaging 226 trucks per day instead of the 600 agreed upon. This represents an Israeli compliance rate of just 38 percent.
Despite the ceasefire, Israeli forces continued their operations on Tuesday, striking multiple neighborhoods and residential areas throughout Gaza. The GMO reported the demolition of homes and residential buildings, along with intensive airstrikes and artillery shelling in eastern Gaza City and Rafah. Naval forces also opened fire off the coast of Khan Younis.
In the Shujaiya neighborhood of eastern Gaza City, Israeli forces detonated an explosive-laden armored vehicle, while warplanes launched new strikes on the Tuffah and Zeitoun neighborhoods.
Military vehicles opened fire toward the northeastern outskirts of the al-Bureij refugee camp, and bombardment spread to the Muraj axis north of Rafah amid heavy aerial activity. Additional demolitions were recorded in the eastern areas of Khan Younis.
Local sources reported hearing six separate explosions from demolition operations in Shujaiya, occurring alongside continuous artillery fire near the so-called yellow line. Israeli aircraft were also seen firing directly over the Baptist (al-Ahli) Hospital, while tanks advanced and opened heavy fire on the Zeitoun area.
The GMO warned that the continuation of these violations represents “a dangerous circumvention of the ceasefire” and an attempt by Israel to impose a humanitarian reality built on “submission, starvation, and blackmail.”
It held Israel fully responsible for the worsening humanitarian conditions, the destruction of property, and the loss of life recorded during what should have been a period of complete and sustained calm.
The office called on the international community, the United Nations, President Trump, and all sponsors and guarantors of the agreement to uphold their legal and moral responsibilities. It urged these actors to compel Israel to implement the ceasefire in full, protect civilians, and ensure the uninterrupted delivery of humanitarian aid and fuel to help confront the unfolding catastrophe in Gaza.
