DaysofPal – The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza said on Saturday that hospitals across the Strip received the bodies of 151 Palestinians killed in the past 24 hours, including 116 recovered from under the rubble, alongside 72 new injuries, as Israel’s assault on Gaza continues despite the newly enacted ceasefire.
In its daily report, the ministry warned that ambulance and civil defense teams are still unable to reach many victims trapped under collapsed buildings and in the streets due to the extensive destruction and continuing restrictions on movement.
With these latest casualties, the total death toll from Israel’s ongoing aggression since October 7, 2023, has risen to 67,682 killed and 170,033 injured, according to official figures.
The ministry added that 320 additional deaths have been added to the cumulative statistics after verification by the judicial committee overseeing the registry of missing persons and death notifications, covering the period from October 3 to October 10, 2025.
In a related statement, the Ministry of Health reported that famine and malnutrition continue to claim lives across the Gaza Strip. A total of 463 people, including 157 children, have died from starvation. Since the Integrated Food Security Phase Classification (IPC) officially declared famine in Gaza, 185 new deaths, among them 42 children, have been recorded.
The ministry urged families of those killed and missing completing their data through the official online documentation platform, emphasizing that this process is crucial for finalizing the national registry of victims of the Israeli assault.
The first phase of a ceasefire agreement between Hamas and Israel went into effect at 12:00 noon Jerusalem time (09:00 GMT) on Friday, after the Israeli government approved the deal earlier in the day.
Following the truce, hundreds of thousands of Palestinians began streaming back into Gaza City and other northern areas, returning to what remains of their homes after two years of near-total destruction.
The Gaza Ministry of Interior declared that police would begin to be deployed to restore order, and civil defense teams began extensive operations to recover bodies from the wreckage and look for missing people.
Backed by U.S. support, Israel’s two-year campaign in Gaza has been described by Palestinian officials as a genocidal war, leaving at least 67,682 Palestinians killed and 170,033 wounded, the majority of them women and children. The famine, which continues to spread, has already claimed hundreds more lives, underscoring the catastrophic humanitarian toll that persists despite the ceasefire.
