Israel launches deadly airstrikes on Gaza, killing over 400 and injuring 562

DaysofPal – The Israeli occupation continues its relentless genocide against the Gaza Strip for the 616th consecutive day, with intense air and ground assaults leaving a devastating toll on civilians and infrastructure.

According to Gaza’s Ministry of Health, 4,924 Palestinians have been killed and 15,780 wounded since March 18, 2025. This brings the total number of Palestinians killed since October 7, 2023, to 55,207, with 127,821 injured—a staggering figure underscoring the scale of devastation.

In the latest escalation, the Israeli military has launched a wave of airstrikes across multiple areas in the besieged enclave. Eyewitnesses and field reporters from Palestine Online confirm widespread bombardment and numerous casualties in Gaza City, central refugee camps, and the southern region of Khan Younis.

Adding to the humanitarian catastrophe, Gaza has now been plunged into a total communications blackout for the fourth consecutive day. Internet and phone services remain suspended, as Israeli authorities continue to prevent maintenance teams from accessing key infrastructure needed to restore connectivity.

The communications shutdown has severely hampered emergency response efforts. Both the Civil Defense and the Palestinian Red Crescent have issued urgent warnings about the growing difficulty in reaching bombed sites or coordinating with field teams. First responders say many victims remain trapped under the rubble with no way to call for help.

Among the latest attacks, an Israeli airstrike struck near the Da‘wa area in northeast Al-Nuseirat refugee camp, injuring several civilians. Another deadly incident occurred in Al-Sudaniya, north of Gaza City, where dozens were wounded as Israeli forces opened fire on crowds of civilians waiting for humanitarian aid—yet another case in a growing pattern of targeting relief distribution points.

Israeli artillery also shelled areas north of Al-Nuseirat, east of the Al-Zaytoun neighborhood in southeastern Gaza City, and multiple sites in Khan Younis. These assaults further compound the suffering of displaced families who have repeatedly been forced to relocate in search of safety, only to find themselves under renewed fire.

As Gaza endures the dual trauma of ongoing bombardment and imposed isolation, humanitarian groups continue to warn of imminent collapse. With fuel, food, and medical supplies critically low, and communications infrastructure in ruins, the humanitarian situation remains catastrophic.
