DayofPal- At least eight Palestinians were brought to hospitals across the Gaza Strip over the past 48 hours; seven were killed, and one body was recovered from beneath the rubble, as Israeli forces ramped up attacks in fresh ceasefire violations.
In a statement issued on Saturday, Gaza’s Ministry of Health said 29 others were wounded during the same period amid ongoing Israeli bombardment and restrictions on rescue and healthcare operations.
Health officials warned that many victims remain trapped under collapsed buildings and in inaccessible areas, while ambulance and civil defence crews remain unable to reach them due to dangerous conditions on the ground and continued restrictions on emergency movements.
The ministry added that since the ceasefire announced on October 10, more than 890 Palestinians have been killed and 2,677 injured.
Rescue teams have also recovered 777 bodies from devastated areas, with crews reporting widespread destruction and difficulties accessing victims.
Since the beginning of Israel’s genocide in the Gaza Strip on October 7, 2023, the overall death toll has risen to 72,783 Palestinians, with 172,779 others reported injured, according to the latest official figures released by Gaza health authorities.
