DaysofPal- Israeli occupation forces continued violating the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip on Tuesday through a series of airstrikes, artillery shelling, and gunfire targeting multiple areas across the enclave.
According to local sources, two fishermen from the al-Najjar family were injured after Israeli naval boats opened fire off the coast of Khan Younis in southern Gaza.
Israeli warplanes also bombed the densely populated al-Mawasi area of Khan Younis at dawn, an area crowded with tents sheltering displaced Palestinians. The strike came only hours after Israeli forces reportedly contacted several displaced families ordering them to evacuate the area, in what residents describe as a recurring tactic that has further deepened civilian suffering in recent weeks.
In a separate attack, an Israeli drone launched a strike near al-Tina Street in the al-Mawasi area of Khan Younis. Israeli forces also carried out demolition operations in the eastern parts of the city.
Elsewhere in northern Gaza, Israeli troops fired illumination flares east of Jabalia town, while an airstrike targeted the al-Faluja area west of Jabalia refugee camp.
On Monday, local and medical sources reported that Mohammed Abdel Salam Abu Shab was killed and several others wounded after Israeli aircraft targeted a group of civilians near the Bani Suheila roundabout east of Khan Younis.
According to figures released by the Palestinian Ministry of Health, the death toll since the ceasefire began on 10 October has risen to 877 people, with 2,602 others injured and 776 bodies recovered from under the rubble.
The ministry added that the overall toll from the Israeli genocidal campaign on the Gaza Strip since 7 October 2023 has climbed to 72,769 killed and 172,704 injured, according to official Palestinian data.
