DaysofPal- The Palestinian Ministry of Health announced on Monday that three Palestinians were killed and 16 others injured over the past 24 hours as a result of the ongoing Israeli assault on the Gaza Strip.
Israeli occupation forces continued demolishing buildings east of Gaza City, while Israeli military vehicles advanced near the Abu Zeitoun area in the Jabalia Refugee Camp in northern Gaza. Israeli artillery also shelled eastern areas of Deir al-Balah, the village of al-Masdar, and Khan Younis in the southern part of the enclave.
Palestinian medical teams recovered the bodies of two Palestinians on Monday who were killed in an Israeli strike that targeted them on Sunday in the Netzarim area in central Gaza. Local sources said the bodies were transferred to Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital.
In northern Gaza, two civilians were injured after Israeli artillery targeted the Tal al-Dhahab area in Beit Lahia. A child was also wounded by Israeli gunfire in the al-Atatra area west of Beit Lahia.
Later on Monday morning, Israeli naval forces detained six fishermen off the coast of al-Zawayda in central Gaza. Among those identified were Saeed Adel Abu Riala, 31, Moaz Adel Abu Riala, 23, and Baraa Adel Abu Riala, 22.
In its daily statistical report, the Health Ministry stated that the total number of Palestinians killed since the ceasefire began on October 10 has risen to 854, while the number of injuries reached 2,453. The ministry also reported 770 body recovery cases during the same period.
The report states that 72,740 people have been killed and 172,555 have been injured since the start of the Israeli genocide on October 7, 2023.
The ministry stressed that many victims remain trapped beneath the rubble and in the streets, while ambulance and civil defense crews continue to face severe difficulties reaching them.
