DaysofPal- The Global Freedom Flotilla announced on Thursday the launch of the largest humanitarian mobilization in history aimed at breaking the Israeli siege on the Gaza Strip by land and sea, scheduled for March 2026.
The initiative is set to involve thousands of activists from more than 100 countries worldwide.
The announcement comes amid Israel’s continued failure to comply with the humanitarian protocol of the ceasefire agreement in effect since October 10, particularly provisions related to the entry of fuel, humanitarian aid, and rubble-removal equipment into Gaza.
In a statement published on the social media platform X, the Freedom Flotilla confirmed the launch of “the largest coordinated humanitarian relief operation for Palestine in history.”
According to the statement, the initiative will begin on March 29, 2026, with a synchronized deployment of a maritime flotilla and a land-based humanitarian convoy, in a coordinated effort to break the blockade imposed on the Gaza Strip.
The flotilla said the mobilization will include thousands of volunteers from over 100 countries, describing the effort as a peaceful and coordinated global response to the Israeli crimes of genocide, siege, starvation, and the systematic destruction of civilian life in Gaza.
The statement emphasized that this initiative goes beyond previous flotilla efforts that focused solely on sea routes, representing instead a broad global uprising aimed at ending the blockade and alleviating Gaza’s humanitarian suffering.
It further noted that the mobilization includes more than 1,000 doctors, nurses, and healthcare workers, alongside teachers, engineers, reconstruction teams, and investigators specializing in war crimes and environmental genocide, as part of a comprehensive international effort to support the Palestinian people.
Since October 7, 2023, Israeli occupation forces, with U.S. and European support, have carried out acts described as genocide in the Gaza Strip, including killing, starvation, destruction, displacement, and mass arrests, in defiance of international appeals and orders issued by the International Court of Justice to halt the assault.
The campaign has resulted in more than 242,000 Palestinians killed or wounded, the majority of them children and women, in addition to over 11,000 missing, hundreds of thousands displaced, and a famine that has claimed numerous lives, mostly among children.
Entire cities and vast areas of the Gaza Strip have been devastated and effectively erased from the map.
