Early Wednesday morning, five Palestinians were killed and others injured in an Israeli airstrike targeting a group of civilians near the Al-Tawhid Mosque in the city of Tubas.
The Palestinian Red Crescent confirmed in a statement that its teams recovered the bodies of the five martyrs from the site of the airstrike and transported them to the hospital.
The victims have been identified as Mohammed Saeed Hussein Sawafteh (19), Majd Burhan Jamil Sawafteh (23), Qais Saeb Rateb Sawafteh (24), Yasin Ahmed Ali Sawafteh (22), and Talba Mahmoud Jamil Bsharat (18).
Following the airstrike, Israeli forces imposed a siege on the Tubas Turkish Governmental Hospital, restricting movement in and out of the facility.
This attack is part of an ongoing escalation by Israeli forces in Tubas, which saw a large-scale incursion into the outskirts and neighborhoods of the city in the early hours of the morning.
The Israeli occupation military declared a curfew on the city and deployed troops and armored vehicles to its northern areas.
The invasion was accompanied by the intense presence of drones and low-flying helicopters over the region.
In response to the killings, a general strike was declared in Tubas, as the city mourns the loss of its martyrs.
