Today, as the world celebrates Mother‘s Day, the Palestinian Prisoner‘s Society (PPS) has stated that the Israeli occupation forces are detaining five Palestinian mothers who are resisting the occupation.

The five mothers Isra Jaabis, Fadwa Hamadeh, Amani alHashim, Itaf Jaradat, and Yasmin Shaaban have all been given varying sentences, Jaabis receiving the longest of 11 years, while Hamadeh and alHashim were both sentenced to 10.

The Palestinian Prisoners Society (PPS) reported that the Israeli Prison Service limits the contact between children and their incarcerated mothers, denying them of the opportunity to have an open visit or embrace their children, as well as obstructing or prohibiting visits for some of them.
