Dozens of far-right Israeli settlers marched on 26 August 2023 through the occupied Jerusalem’s Old City in a controversial March seen as highly provocative by Palestinians.
Israeli fanatic participants waved Israeli flags, conducted proactive Talmudic rituals, and chanted anti-Arab slogans as they passed through Palestinian neighborhoods.
Under the protection of the Israeli occupation troops, Israeli settlers roamed the streets of Old Jerusalem, chanting racist slogans and performing Talmudic rituals in the markets of the Old City, specifically in Al-Wad Street and Al-Qattaneen Market.
Israeli settlers are forbidden to pray or display religious or national symbols under a long-standing agreement with the Muslim authority that administers the compound.
The site is known to Muslims as Haram al-Sharif (Noble Sanctuary) and contains the al-Aqsa (Qibli) mosque, the third holiest place in Islam.
