DaysofPal- Foreign ministers from eight European countries, including Spain, Norway, Ireland, and Portugal, issued a joint condemnation of the Israeli decision to escalate its military operations in the Gaza Strip, occupy Gaza City, and expel its residents.
The ministers warned that this intensified offensive will deepen the ongoing humanitarian crisis and put the lives of Palestinian hostages at greater risk.
In their statement, the ministers rejected any demographic changes on the occupied Palestinian territories, deeming such actions a violation of international law.
They reaffirmed that Gaza is an integral part of the State of Palestine, along with the West Bank and East Jerusalem.
The ministers highlighted that the continued military escalation and potential occupation of Gaza City represent a serious obstacle to the implementation of the two-state solution, which widely recognized framework for resolving the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
They expressed grave concern over the deteriorating humanitarian situation in Gaza, exacerbated by the blockade and ongoing hostilities.
Moreover, the statement called for an immediate cessation of military escalation and emphasized the urgent need to ensure safe and equitable access to humanitarian aid for all civilians in the region.
Finally, the European ministers urged the international community to intensify diplomatic efforts aimed at protecting civilians, promoting dialogue, and working towards a just and lasting peace.
