The European Union condemned yesterday, Saturday, February 25, the Israeli occupation’s approval to build more than 7,000 settlement units in illegal Israeli settlements across the occupied West Bank.

“This exceeds the total number delivered during 2022, which was a record year in terms of illegal settlement expansion,” said Nabila Masrali, spokeswoman for the EU’s Chief External Relations and Security Officer.

She added, “We reiterate our position that the settlements are illegal under international law, and we call on the Israeli authorities to stop building settlements, and to urgently reverse these recent decisions.”

It’s noteworthy that the Israeli occupation announced, during the past two days, the approval of building 7,000 settlement units in illegal Israeli settlements and outposts, by annexing some of the outposts in the occupied West Bank.
