Dozens of Israeli settlers, guarded by Israeli occupation forces, raided the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque via Al-Maghariba gate and performed provocative rituals on Sunday morning, July 9, 2023.
The Department of Islamic Endowments in occupied Jerusalem stated that tens of Israeli settlers performed provocative rituals at Al-Aqsa’s courtyards.
These incidents are part of a trend where Israeli settlers frequently intrude upon the holy site, conducting Talmudic rituals under the protection of Israeli occupation forces.
The repeated incursions by settlers into the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound are seen as an attempt to assert a temporal and spatial division within the sacred site, a proposition firmly rejected and condemned by the Muslim Palestinian community.
In recent developments, reports have emerged in June regarding a proposed Israeli plan to divide the Al-Aqsa Mosque between Jews and Muslims, further exacerbating tensions and adding to the already existing concerns.
In response to these actions, Palestinians in occupied Jerusalem are intensifying their calls to mobilize at the Al-Aqsa Mosque to counter the mass incursions planned by Israeli settlers.
