Under the protection of Israeli occupation forces, groups of Israeli settlers invaded the Al-Aqsa Mosque courtyards on Wednesday, September 14, 2023.
According to local sources, the settlers entered Al-Aqsa in successive groups through the Moroccan Gate and conducted provocative tours within its courtyards.
They received explanations about the alleged “Temple” and performed Talmudic rituals in the area of the Asbat Gate, located opposite the Dome of the Rock.
Israeli occupation forces deployed their personnel and special units in the courtyards of Al-Aqsa and at its entrances to secure the settlers’ incursions and restrict the movement of Palestinians in the precincts of the holy site.
Restrictions on Muslims’ Entry
The Israeli occupation forces have been imposing restrictions on the entry of Muslim and Palestinian worshippers coming from Jerusalem and the occupied territories to the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque.
They meticulously check their identities and detain some of them at the external gates.
