DaysofPal—Israeli occupation forces carried out a wide arrest campaign across the occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem on Monday, targeting nearly 60 Palestinians, including two children, two women, and dozens of workers. The raids formed part of ongoing assaults that involved breaking into homes, smashing doors, and destroying furniture and personal belongings.
In the southern village of Al-Lubban Al-Sharqiya, Iyad Nazmi Oweis was taken into custody by the city of Nablus.
Following raids in the Al-Tireh neighborhood and the village of Al-Taybeh, soldiers in Ramallah stormed multiple homes and arrested Wafaa Yousef Abu Ghalmi and her two sons, Raef and Ramzi Abdullah Khouri.
Israeli occupation forces conducted raids on the industrial area along the Safa Road, as well as the neighborhoods of Al-Baqa’a and Al-Bayyadah in the Hebron governorate.
Soldiers broke into multiple homes, using police dogs during searches that resulted in extensive damage to doors, furniture, and household items. Six Palestinians were arrested, including a 15-year-old child. Those detained were Mahmoud Samer Owaidat, Abdul Nasser Thaer Halaqeh, and Ismail Mohammad Ali Halaqeh from the town of Al-Shuyukh; Uday Yasser Abu Turki from Hebron city; Ayman Da’darah from Al-Fawwar refugee camp; and the minor Mahmoud Ribhi Akhleil from Beit Ummar, north of the city.
Israeli forces also set up military checkpoints at the entrances of Hebron and its towns, villages, and refugee camps, closing several main and secondary roads using iron gates, concrete blocks, and earth mounds.
Seven Palestinians were arrested during overnight raids in Jenin by occupation forces, according to the Prisoners’ Club. They were Nours Qabha, Yazid Abu Abed, Fares Harzallah, Firas Qabha, Aroud Abu Bakr, Saleh Abadi, and Islam Hamarsha.
In Nablus governorate, four Palestinians were arrested, including two women. They were identified as Raafat and Mohammad Hosni Al-Jab’i from Rafidia, Khaled Samer Istaytiya from the Al-Yasmina neighborhood in the Old City, and 22-year-old Dhikra Raafat Nasser from Deir Sharaf, west of the city.
In occupied Jerusalem, Israeli forces detained more than 40 Palestinian workers at the Al-Zaim military checkpoint east of the city. The arrests form part of an ongoing policy that restricts Palestinian workers from reaching their jobs in areas occupied since 1948. Previous enforcement of these measures has resulted in deaths and injuries during attempts to cross the separation wall.
Rights groups say the arrests fall within broader repressive policies that violate international humanitarian law, including the Geneva Conventions, which prohibit the arbitrary detention of civilians in occupied territories. The measures also violate the protections granted to children, women, and Palestinian workers’ right to access their workplaces.
These practices impose a dual form of siege on the population, combining movement restrictions with systematic violations of basic rights. The situation continues to deepen civilian suffering, particularly as Israel’s assault on Gaza has continued since October 2023.
Cities, towns, and refugee camps across the occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem witness daily incursions by Israeli forces, often accompanied by confrontations, arrests, and the use of live ammunition, rubber bullets, and tear gas against Palestinian youths.
