DayofPal-On Monday September 30th, 2024, the Palestinian government media office in Gaza released figures showing the extent of Israel’s devastating war on Gaza since october 7th, 2023.
360 days since the outbreak of the Israeli war of genocide against Gaza people, the enclave has witnessed the drop of over 85,000 tones of explosives by the Israeli killing machines on the heads of people living in the most densely populated area in the world, the Gaza Strip.
The preliminary statistics of estimated losses caused by the war amounts to over 33 billions.
Casualties
During this course of time, the Israeli army has executed 3628 massacres, resulting in the killing and missing of 51,615 Palestinians, including 41,615 slain people who were reported in hospitals.
Other 10,000 Palestinians are still missed under the rubble or reported abducted by the army.
Moreover, 96,359 Palestinians have been wounded, including 396 staff working in the Journalism and media field.
More than 520 Gazans were exhumed from 7 mass graves which were dug by invading Israeli forces inside different hospitals’ courtyards.
The total number of people detained by the Israeli army from the Gaza enclave only has reached 5000.
Children
Sadly, 69% of the victims were children and women. 16,891 innocent children were murdered in this heinous war, including 36 who died of famine, marking the highest number of children victims whose lives were claimed due to the violence of war over history.
171 babies were born and killed during the Israeli Genocide. Other 710 children under the age of one year were pathetically killed. Meanwhile, 19,000 children have been living without their parents or one of them.
About 3500 children are on the verge of death due to a combination of malnutrition, lack of water, and lack of medicines.
Women
The number of Palestinian women who were massacred in Israeli air or ground bombardment has reached 11,458 females.
60,000 pregnant women are at risk due to the lack of access to health care. Some pregnant women were reportedly rapped, verbally abused and physically assaulted by the Israeli soldiers while staying with their families in some healthcare shelters.
The UN said in a new report titled “Gaza: War on Women’s Health” that more than 177,000 women face life-threatening health risks, and 162,000 women at risk of developing non-communicable diseases (NCDs).
15,000 pregnant women are at the brink of famine. 68% of pregnant women suffer from urinary tract infections, vaginal bleeding, or hemorrhage at a time they lack sexual and reproductive health services.
Personnel
986 Palestinians working in the healthcare sector were also killed, while other 310 health personnel were arrested.
85 personnel from the Civil Defense and 174 journalists have been deliberately killed while on duty. There are 36 renowned journalists being incarcerated in Israeli prisons.
More than 115 university professors and researchers, in addition to 750 school teachers were killed in this war.
Israel killed in cold blood 11,500 Gaza student, male or female, young or old.
Diseases
With two million Gazans have now been internally displaced either in tents or schools-turned shelters, 1,737,524 Palestinians, young or old, male or female, have been infected with infectious diseases as a result of displacement.
In addition, 71,338 people are suffering of viral hepatitis infection due to the displacement. Other 75,092 were infected without being displaced.
It has been 146 days since Israel has closed all Gaza’s crossing, including Rafah crossing, resulting in 12,000 wounded people being in dire need to travel for “life-saving and dangerous” treatment, 11,000 of whom are in need to conduct medical operations.
Other 3000 need different treatments aboard. The closure of crossings is turning the clock faster towards the death of 10,000 cancer patients as they need to travel for treatment.
In addition, 350,000 chronic patients are at brink due to non-administration of medications.
Infrastructure
The Israeli occupation has turned the Gaza strip into ruins with the rate of total destruction has reached 86%.
The already-deteriorated health system in Gaza has been ravaging and collapsing since the start of this war.
Israeli occupation has targeted 162 health institutions, rendering 34 hospitals and 80 health centers out of service.
While on duty, 131 ambulances were targeted and destroyed by the Israeli airstrikes.
About 201 government headquarters were destroyed by the Israeli airstrikes or tanks’ attacks.
(125, 611, 150,000) of schools and universities, mosques, and housing unites, respectively, were completely destroyed.
80,000 housing units have become uninhabitable, and 35 sports centers were rendered out of service.
100,000 displacement tents have worn out, and 184 School-turned shelters were targeted.
While (337, 214, 297,000) schools and universities, mosques, and housing unites, respectively, were partially demolished by the Israeli army war machine.
3130 km long electric cables for power plant along with 700 water walls have been completely destroyed.
In addition, 2,835,000 meter long of street networks, 655,000 meter long of sewage networks, and 330,000 water network were damaged.
206 archaeological and heritage sites in addition to 3 churches were also destroyed and affected by the Israeli bombardment.
