Colonial Israeli settlers continued Saturday, September 22 the construction of new illegal settlement facilities in the Ein al-Sakot spring, northeast of the occupied West Bank.
Local sources reported that colonial Israeli settlers constructed new umbrellas near Ein al-Sakot spring to exert their control over the spring and turn it into a Jewish tourist resort, denying Palestinians access to the location.
Colonial Israeli settlers are escalating their activities in Jordan Valley, in the occupied West Bank in an attempt to confiscate the springs and waterholes in the northern Jordan Valley.
The Israeli settlers backed by Israeli occupation forces tightened their control over the ‘Khelet Khader’ spring in Tubas by setting up facilities in its vicinity and preventing Palestinians from approaching it. They also seized the ‘Ain al-Hilweh’ spring in the same way about two years ago.
