The People’s Committee in the city of Lod held Mayor Yair Revivo responsible for the results of the march to raise Israeli flags in the city as scheduled for Sunday, May 29, 2022, noting that the municipality announced its participation in the march along with the settler groups.

The People’s Committee said in a statement, “The municipality of Lod and its leaders will, next Sunday (May 29, 2022), with the participation of Jewish terrorist groups, organize a provocative march in the Arab neighborhoods of the city of Lod, in which the Israeli flags will be raised and inciting and racist slogans are chanted against the Palestinian Arab presence in the city. ”

The committee added that this march aims to challenge the Palestinians in Lod and threaten their existence, noting that entering the neighborhoods inhabited by Palestinians carries with it great dangers to security and public order, especially since the participants came from outside Lod.

She added, “We will stand by everyone who threatens our existence or seeks to attack us, our sanctities, and our properties, and we will not allow manifestations of Jewish arrogance and bullying, no matter the cost.”

The People’s Committee called to rally around the mosques and the church in the city in order to protect and defend it from the settlers’ attacks, describing them as terrorists.

She pointed out that the city of Lod is twinning with the city of Jerusalem, following up on, “This land has expelled all the oppressors of the past, it will certainly utter Israeli oppression and throw it into the dustbins of history, and we will remain guards of the city of Lod, which is the western protector of Jerusalem until the command of God Almighty comes. “.

And she continued, “We call on our people to stand tall and proud in the face of the terrorist settlers, to be held high and your heads held high so that everyone knows that this arrogance does not move a hair in us, because we are the owners of this blessed land.”
