The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) launched a petition calling on American president Joe Biden to condemn the Israeli occupation forces’ attack on worshipers at Al-Aqsa Mosque in the occupied city of Jerusalem.
The petition, which has so far been signed by more than a thousand American citizens, urges the Biden administration to provide the protection of the human and religious rights of Palestinians.
The petition pointed out that more than 150 Palestinians were injured when Israeli occupation forces stormed Al-Aqsa Mosque, on Friday 17 April 2022, while thousands of worshipers were performing the dawn prayer.
In turn, the Deputy Director of CAIR, Edward Ahmed Mitchell, condemned in a statement: “The brutal attack by the apartheid government on worshipers in one of the holiest places in the world during Ramadan,” calling on Biden to condemn it.
