Another young Palestinian lost his life after being shot in the head in Nazareth on Wednesday night, bringing the death toll in Israel’s Arab community to 90 this year.
As the man was returning to the restaurant where he delivered food in Nazareth’s north, the victim was hit by a bullet in the head. Witnesses saw him fall outside the restaurant where the shooting took place.
His life could not be saved at the nearby hospital where he was rushed after the shooting.
The wave of violence against Arab communities in Israel shows no sign of abating, as 90 Palestinians have been killed since the start of 2023. This is a dramatic increase from the 34 murders that occurred in the same period last year.
A shooting incident in the northern Bedouin village of Khawaled claimed the life of a Palestinian on Monday. A 58-year-old person was also injured in the incident, but not seriously.
Gunshots also ended the lives of two Palestinians in separate incidents on Sunday night and Monday morning.
