After two days of Israeli aggression on the occupied West Bank city of Jenin, the Israeli occupation announced the failure of the massive Israeli military operation on the city and its camp.
The spokesman for the occupation army, Gil Hagri, said that the military aggression against the city of Jenin and its camp did not achieve its goals, indicating that the army would return to Jenin if intelligence information about Palestinian resistance acts was available.
He said that the intelligence information was not sufficient to attack all “targets” in the Jenin camp, adding that Israeli forces detained over 300 Palestinian citizens during the two-day operation.
The Israeli occupation claimed that the attack on Jenin achieved its goal of eliminating the Palestinian resistance against the occupation and that the Israeli forces have destroyed all military sites that would stop any acts of resistance in the camp.
On the other hand, Palestinian citizens in Jenin and other Palestinian cities celebrated the withdrawal of the Israeli occupation army from the camp, stressing that the Palestinian resistance against the occupation will not stop despite all Israeli measures and operations to eliminate it.
On July 3, Israeli troops carried out a massive military incursion into the occupied West Bank city of Jenin, killing 12 Palestinians and wounding over 100 others, including 20 critical injuries. They also displaced over 4000 Palestinian from their homes in the Jenin refugee camp and bombed dozens of their houses.
