The military spokesman for the Al-Qassam, the military wing of Hamas, “Abu Obeida”, said that the Qassam leadership allowed it to reveal that one of the places where two Zionist soldiers were captured was subjected to Israeli bombardment.
Abu Ubaidah said in a brief statement: “On the eighth anniversary of the Battle of Al-Asf Al-Makoul, during which Al-Qassam Brigades captured two Zionist soldiers… Al-Qassam leadership allowed to reveal that a place during the Battle of Seif Al-Quds last year was subjected to Israeli bombardment, which led to the martyrdom of one of the shadow fighters and the injury of three others. While carrying out their mission of guarding one of the soldiers.”
Abu Obeida indicated that the Qassam leadership is reluctant to reveal the name of the martyr at this stage for security reasons, and will announce it later when conditions are appropriate.
