Hamas Chief, Ismail Haniyeh, Saturday praised the Gulf reconciliation, while addressing the leaders of several countries in the world to support the steps of the unity of Palestinian people.

Haniyeh sent a message to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, congratulating him on the achievement and success of the forty-first session of the Supreme Council of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf.

In his message, he expressed his appreciation for the "Al-Ula" statement which ended the crisis and disagreement between Arab brothers and strengthened the cohesion and rapprochement between them, and pushes toward joint Arab action to achieve further development, integration, and cooperation in all fields.

Haniyeh expressed the movement's sincere appreciation for the Kingdom's efforts to achieve this achievement, which is a continuation of its historical role in embracing the nation’s causes, solidarity with it, and defending it.

He also sent a similar message to Prince Muhammad bin Salman, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, appreciating his role in the success of the recent Gulf summit.

Haniyeh asserted that Hamas sees this reconciliation as an important step in promoting joint action in the interest of the Palestinian cause, in light of the challenges facing it from the Israeli occupation, siege, Judaization, and the risks of liquidation it.

Haniyeh also sent messages to many countries as part of his political and diplomatic efforts to support steps for the unity of the Palestinian people at the Arab, regional and international levels.

Hamas movement said in a statement that Haniyeh continued his political and diplomatic efforts to support the steps for the unity of the Palestinian people at the Arab, regional and international levels, as he sent messages to many countries within the framework of his contacts in this regard.

It indicated that the movement’s Chief sent letters to the United Nations and the leaders of Iran, Jordan, Switzerland, and South Africa, in which he reviewed the movement’s efforts to achieve the unity of the Palestinian people and end the era of division, and its agreement to hold elections at various levels for the Legislative Council, the Presidency and the Palestinian National Council on the basis of succession and interdependence.

In his message, Haniyeh called on the leaders of different countries to support these efforts and to work for the success of these steps that would enhance the unity of the Palestinian people.
