DaysofPal- Khalil al-Hayya, head of Hamas’s political bureau, said the Movement will continue efforts on multiple fronts to alleviate the suffering of people in the Gaza Strip, emphasizing that securing a comprehensive ceasefire remains its top priority.

In his first speech since assuming the role, al-Hayya addressed Gaza residents, pledging continued work “in every path and direction” to ease humanitarian conditions and restore a dignified life for the Gaza population.

He added that Hamas would cooperate with regional and international actors to support reconstruction and restore basic services.

Al-Hayya said that Hamas’ priorities include achieving a full ceasefire and the withdrawal of Israeli forces from Gaza.

He called on mediating countries to apply real pressure on the Israeli occupation to implement agreed terms and advance to the next phase of the ceasefire process.

He also stressed the importance of Palestinian unity, saying the current phase requires cooperation rather than division.

“We extend our hands to all,” he said, calling for a unified national front.

Al-Hayya praised mediation efforts by Egypt, Qatar, and Turkey, describing their role as critical in attempts to end the Israeli genocidal war.

He added that stability in Gaza is essential for broader regional stability.

Al-Hayya reiterated Hamas’s rejection of political arrangements that compromise Palestinian rights, including self-determination and the establishment of an independent state.

He also said reconstruction efforts and the prevention of displacement should not be conditioned on political concessions.

He called for comprehensive Palestinian national dialogue and the restructuring of political institutions, including the Palestine Liberation Organization, on as democratic and inclusive foundations.

Addressing the international community and the United Nations, al-Hayya urged action to protect civilians in Gaza and ensure accountability for Israeli war criminals.

He also expressed appreciation for international solidarity movements supporting Palestinians.

The remarks come amid ongoing humanitarian challenges in Gaza, as efforts to secure a lasting ceasefire and advance reconstruction continue amid ongoing and escalating Israeli genocide in Gaza.
