DayofPal—Four Israeli strikes targeting a police post in northern Gaza killed at least seven Palestinians on Tuesday in a fresh ceasefire violations.
This assault is part of a series of attacks on Palestinian police that authorities say are aimed at creating chaos and undermining public security.
Local sources reported that the seven were killed in the Faluja area of Jabalia refugee camp in northern Gaza and the post is located in a densely populated area.
Sources added that civilians were present at the site to file police complaints when the strikes suddenly hit the place.
The Ministry of Interior and National Security announced that Colonel Mohammed Marwan Salem, director of the Jabalia refugee camp police, was killed along with several police officers and personnel in the Israeli attack.
The Ministry added that Israel targeted them while they were “performing their duties monitoring markets and maintaining security and public order.”
The Ministry also noted that the repeated Israeli attacks targeting police facilities and striking police officers and personnel “constitute a war crime and a blatant violation of international humanitarian law, as police facilities are civilian protection institutions safeguarded under international law and must not be targeted.”
It said over 40 members of the Palestinian police in the Gaza Strip have been killed in Israeli attacks since the start of the ceasefire on October 10.
There has been a spike in Israeli attacks in the war-torn Strip despite the ceasefire.
Over 1,112 Palestinians have been killed in Israeli attacks across the Gaza Strip since the US-backed ceasefire came into effect. This means an average of four Palestinians per day.
The Ministry said the overall death toll from Israel’s genocide in the Gaza Strip has also surpassed 73,000.
At least 119 Palestinians were killed in Israeli attacks across the war-torn Gaza Strip in May alone, the Palestinian Health Ministry said, marking the highest monthly death toll recorded since the start of 2026.
According to the Ministry, women, children, and elderly people accounted for 30% of those killed, including 19 children (16%) and 10 women (8.5%).
Israel has violated the ceasefire more than 3,689 times, according to the Gaza Government Media Office on Tuesday.
