DayofPal—The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) has reported that 5,900 Palestinians in the occupied West Bank were forced to leave their homes due to attacks by Israeli settlers between January 2023 and April 2026.
According to OCHA, the agency documented 5,336 settler attacks during the same period that caused harm to Palestinians or damage to their property.
The majority of displacement occurred in the Jordan Valley, particularly in areas between Ramallah and Jericho, as well as in the South Hebron Hills. Those affected are mainly Palestinians and Bedouin communities living in small rural areas made up of dozens of families rather than established towns or villages.
The UN said that 45 Palestinian communities were completely displaced, while 72 others experienced partial displacement as a result of settler violence.
The figures do not include the thousands of Palestinians displaced after Israeli military attacks targeting and occupying refugee camps in Jenin and Tulkarem since the beginning of 2025.
In March, the UN reported that around 36,000 Palestinians had been displaced in the occupied West Bank since 2024 due to either Israeli settler violence or army attacks.
