DaysofPal –Al-Hares, a platform affiliated with the resistance in the Gaza Strip, warned against attempts by gangs affiliated with the Israeli occupation to undermine the internal security of Gaza by distributing narcotics and other suspicious substances.
In a press statement issued on Tuesday, the platform said the activities of these groups extend beyond security-related roles and include efforts to destabilize society by promoting drugs in an attempt to target young people’s awareness and weaken the social fabric.
The platform said exploiting the difficult humanitarian conditions in Gaza to circulate such substances constitutes a crime against the Palestinian people and reflects the role of these groups in spreading chaos and harming the internal front.
It urged residents to remain vigilant and not to ignore any suspicious activity involving the promotion or distribution of narcotics or other questionable substances. Citizens were also encouraged to report any suspicious behavior or movements through the Al-Haris reporting platform.
The statement stressed that protecting society is a shared responsibility and that confronting the occupation’s methods and tools begins with public awareness and rejecting anything that threatens the security of the Palestinian people and the future of coming generations.
The warning follows an earlier announcement by a security source in Gaza, who said security forces had thwarted an attempt to smuggle a large quantity of narcotics through a route connected to gangs collaborating with the Israeli occupation.
According to the source, the shipment was seized, and those involved were detained pending legal action.
These smuggling operations are part of wider efforts to undermine public security and damage the social fabric, using collaborators with the Israeli occupation, the source said, adding that Gaza security services continue to pursue any element trying to disturb security and stability in Palestinian society.
