Tents were set up earlier today by Israeli settlers at a Palestinian-owned land near the village of Beita, south of Nablus in the occuipied West Bank.

Ghassan Daghlas, an official in charge of monitoring Israeli colonial activities in Nablus Governorate, told WAFA that settlers set up six tents in Jabal Sbeih area, near Beita village, apparently to pave the way to have control over the land and establish a new settlement outpost.
He said that throughout the last years, Israelis have been trying to seize Palestinian lands in this area by all available means, but they all were thwarted by the Palestinian residents.
Daghlas said also that the current attempts to confiscate Palestinian land are part of Israel's plan to annex the occupied West Bank.
Today, there are more than 700,000 Israeli settlers living in the occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem.
