DaysofPal- The Ministry of Health in Gaza announced on Monday that seven bodies had arrived at hospitals across the Gaza Strip during the past 24 hours, including six newly killed Palestinians and one body recovered from beneath the rubble. The ministry also recorded six injuries resulting from ongoing Israeli attacks.
On the ground, Israeli military vehicles opened fire east of Khan Younis while artillery shelling continued in the area. Israeli occupation forces also expanded the “yellow zone” by moving concrete barriers further westward into the city.
Israeli occupation forces continue to violate the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip through air and artillery strikes, targeting areas where displaced Palestinians are sheltering, as well as carrying out demolition operations within the so-called yellow zone. Restrictions on the movement of goods, humanitarian aid, and travel also remain in place.
In a statement issued Monday morning, the Health Ministry said that a number of victims remain trapped beneath rubble and in the streets, as ambulance and civil defense teams have been unable to reach them due to field conditions and difficulties accessing affected areas.
According to the ministry, the total number of Palestinians killed since the ceasefire took effect on October 10 has risen to 992, while the number of injuries has reached 3,144. Rescue teams have also recorded 784 body recovery operations during the same period.
The ministry added that the cumulative death toll since the beginning of the Israeli genocidal campaign on October 7, 2023, has increased to 73,003, with 173,252 people injured.
