Hamas Condemns UK Court Decision to Ban Palestine Action
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

DaysofPal- Hamas Movement has condemned a decision by a British appeals court to uphold the ban on activist group Palestine Action, describing the ruling as politically motivated and aimed at restricting pro-Palestinian activism.

In a statement issued on Monday, the Movement said the decision reflected the pressure from pro-Israel lobbying groups, noting that it was intended to intimidate and target activists opposing Israeli genocidal war in Gaza.

Hamas argued that the ban represents an attempt to silence voices critical of the complicity of some Western governments in the ongoing Israeli genocide.

The statement added that the move is part of a broader trend in parts of Europe toward limiting activities in support of the Palestinian cause and pursuing legal measures against solidarity movements.

Hamas said that efforts to restrict pro-Palestinian activism would not deter the growing global support, emphasizing that international grassroots movements play a key role in raising awareness and highlighting developments in the region.

The Movement also pointed to the expanding public solidarity with Palestinians in various countries, saying this reflects increasing global awareness despite legal and political pressures on activist groups.

Hamas called on people, particularly in European countries, to continue their support activities and not be discouraged by such decisions.

It also urged the expansion of boycott campaigns targeting Israeli occupation and its supporters, and encouraged the use of legal and public advocacy tools to pressure for an end to actions affecting Palestinians.
