Israeli occupation forces Thursday demolished four Palestinian buildings that were still in the construction phase in the occupied West Bank, according to local sources.
They said that in the town of Anata, northeast of occupied Jerusalem, the Israeli occupation demolished two homes that were still under construction.
Mayor of Anata, Taha Rifai, said that Israeli occupation forces escorted bulldozers into the town where they demolished the two two-story buildings – one 200 square meters and the other 150 square meters – under the pretext they were built without a license.
Meanwhile, the Israeli bulldozers demolished a house under construction in Al-Tirah village, west of Ramallah as it demolished also another house under construction in Beitunia.
Beitunia, also Bitunya, is a Palestinian City located 3 kilometers west of Ramallah and 14 kilometers north of Jerusalem. The City is in the Ramallah and al-Bireh Governorate in the central West Bank.
There was no comment from Israeli authorities on the demolitions.
Israel is expected to annex parts of the occupied West Bank under a plan agreed by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his rival-turned ally Benny Gantz, the head of the Blue and White party.
The plan comes as part of US President Donald Trump’s so-called “Deal of the Century” that was announced on Jan. 28. It refers to Jerusalem as “Israel’s undivided capital” and recognizes Israeli sovereignty over large parts of the West Bank.
The plan calls for the establishment of a Palestinian state in the form of an archipelago connected by bridges and tunnels.
Palestinian officials say that under the US plan, Israel will annex 30%-40% of the West Bank, including all of East Jerusalem.
