DaysofPal- Spokesperson for Hamas Movement Hazem Qassem has condemned the horrific massacre carried out by Israeli forces in northern Gaza, saying the incident underscores the continuation of the Israeli genocidal war and highlights the failure of international mechanisms to stop the violence.
Qassem said an Israeli drone strike targeted a group of civilians gathered in a public square in the Beit Lahia project area in the northern Gaza Strip, which killed five civilians, including three children.
Qassem described the strike as part of a continuing pattern of attacks across Gaza, accusing the Israeli occupation of deliberately targeting civilians and spreading death throughout the territory.
He said the incident represents “a new crime in a series of ongoing massacres and violations.”
He also criticized the Peace Council, saying it has shown increasing inability to compel Israel to halt violations or adhere to existing agreements.
He argued that the latest incident highlights the failure of international actors to enforce accountability.
Qassem called on mediators, guarantor states, and parties involved in diplomatic frameworks to take responsibility and act to stop the Israeli genocide against Gaza.
