A Palestinian child was killed on Tuesday after Israeli forces opened fire near the town of Al-Ram, north of occupied Jerusalem.
Local sources said the victim was identified as 12-year-old Mohammed Rayan, who was shot by Israeli forces in the area. He was rushed for medical treatment but later succumbed to his wounds.
The killing sparked grief and anger among Palestinians, as residents mourned yet another child lost to Israeli gunfire.
Israeli forces were reportedly deployed heavily in the area at the time of the shooting, amid ongoing military measures and repeated confrontations in towns surrounding Jerusalem.
The death of Mohammed Rayan comes as violence continues to escalate across the occupied West Bank, where Israeli raids, shootings, and arrests have become a near-daily reality.
Palestinian rights groups say children have increasingly become victims of Israel’s use of lethal force, warning of the deep psychological and social toll such killings leave on families and communities.
