DayofPal—Far-right Polish MP, Konrad Berkowicz, fires back at Israel’s embassy, which accused him of antisemitism, condemning Israel’s attacks in the Gaza Strip and Lebanon.
He openly described the Israeli government as a “terror state” and compared it to the Third Reich in German, saying that “I consider you Nazis.”
This comes after he faced antisemitism accusations over a parliament protest, where he displayed a modified Israeli flag inside parliament to protest Israel’s crimes.
He said he is not afraid of reactions from the U.S. and Israeli embassies in Poland after he raised an Israeli flag bearing a Nazi swastika symbol in the Polish parliament on Tuesday, adding that Israel is carrying out genocide “in full view of the world.”
Israel called the protest an act ‘antisemitic’ and It incited against Berkowicz.
Berkowicz quickly responded to the embassy’s statement with a sharply worded message.
He stated that Israel is committing genocide and expanding military aggression across the region.
“And I condemn your genocide across all of Palestine,” he wrote. “We condemn what you are doing in Gaza, Lebanon, and Iran.”
He continued: “I condemn your armed assault, your starving, your pacification of the population, and your burning of innocent children with phosphorus.”
Berkowicz concluded, adding: “You are no different from the Third Reich in this. I consider you Nazis.”
The incident comes amid already tensed backlash in Poland over the genocide in Gaza and over the country’s wartime memory.
