DaysofPal – Israeli occupation forces continued air, artillery, and naval attacks across different parts of the Gaza Strip on Sunday, March 8, according to local sources. The strikes represent another breach of the ceasefire agreement that took effect on October 11.
Residents reported that two people were killed late Saturday evening. One victim, a young man, died after an airstrike hit a house in Khan Younis in southern Gaza. The second person was killed in a separate strike targeting Jabalia in the northern part of the enclave.
Israeli warplanes also struck several locations east of the Al-Tuffah neighborhood in eastern Gaza City, areas that fall under Israeli military control according to the terms of the ceasefire arrangement. In the northwest of the territory, artillery units carried out intermittent shelling.
Along the coastline of Gaza City, Israeli naval forces fired heavy machine guns and shells toward the shore.
Additional attacks were reported in southern Gaza, where Israeli fighter jets carried out at least one airstrike east of Khan Younis in zones designated under Israeli control by the agreement.
Naval forces also opened fire off the coast of Khan Younis at the same time artillery shells targeted eastern sections of the city.
The latest incidents follow the killing of three Palestinians, including a child, and the injury of another person the previous day after shelling and gunfire struck areas in Gaza City and the northern Gaza Strip in yet another violation of the ceasefire.
The Gaza Ministry of Health said on Saturday that three bodies and three injured individuals had arrived at hospitals in the territory during the previous 48 hours. The ministry added that the total number of people killed since the ceasefire began has reached 636, with 1,704 others injured.
