DaysofPal – The Hamas Movement has called for an escalation of popular anger and an expansion of resistance activities across the occupied West Bank in response to the intensifying crimes of the Israeli occupation and the continued killing of Palestinians.

In a statement, Hamas said that ongoing assaults and violations carried out by Israeli forces and settlers in cities and towns throughout the West Bank, most recently on Saturday evening in Jenin Governorate, require a heightened level of popular confrontation and collective resistance to counter what it termed “growing criminality.”

The movement mourned the killing of 16-year-old Rayan Mohammed Abdul Qader Abu Mualla, who it said was executed “in cold blood” by Israeli forces in the town of Qabatiya, south of Jenin. It also paid tribute to Ahmed Saed Shahada Ziyoud, 22, who was killed by Israeli gunfire in the town of As-Silah al-Harithiya, west of Jenin.

Hamas stressed that the blood of those killed “will not be in vain” and warned that it would ultimately have consequences for the occupation. The movement reiterated that continued Israeli actions would not deter the Palestinian people from pursuing their struggle until the occupation is ended.

The statement urged residents of the West Bank, particularly young people, to broaden their resistance to Israeli military incursions and settler attacks, calling for firm confrontation aimed at deterring further violations against Palestinians and Islamic holy sites.

On Saturday evening, two Palestinians were killed by Israeli gunfire in Qabatiya and As-Silah al-Harithiya, while Israeli forces also closed the entrances to the city of Jericho in the eastern West Bank.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health confirmed the killing of Rayan Abu Mualla in Qabatiya and said his body was withheld by Israeli forces. It also announced the killing of Ahmed Ziyoud in As-Silah al-Harithiya.

Since January 21, the Israeli army has been carrying out a military operation in the northern West Bank, which began in the Jenin refugee camp and later expanded to the Nur Shams and Tulkarm refugee camps.

According to official data, Israeli forces have since imposed a siege on the three camps, carrying out widespread destruction of infrastructure, homes, and commercial properties. The ongoing operation has displaced approximately 50,000 residents, as destruction and forced displacement continue across the area.
