DaysofPal- Israeli occupation forces have continued to breach the ceasefire agreement with Hamas, which took effect on October 10, through ongoing shelling, gunfire, and the demolition of civilian homes in the Gaza Strip.
According to health sources in Gaza hospitals, 28 Palestinians—among them 17 children and women—were martyred by Israeli fire in Gaza City and Khan Younis since Wednesday morning.
At the same time, Gaza’s Ministry of Health confirmed 25 martyrs and 77 injuries as a result of the Israeli escalation on the Strip.
Our correspondent reported that nine citizens were killed and others wounded on Wednesday evening due to Israeli airstrikes targeting displaced persons’ tents west of Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip.
Among the victims identified were: Tawfiq Haidar Tawfiq Hammad, Ibrahim Ali Abu Jasser, Ruba Abdullah Abu Alaa, Nahid Abu Shahla, and Fadi Abu Mustafa.
The correspondent also reported the killing of young man Mohammad Sufyan Mohammad Al-Najjar by Israeli fire in the Qizan Al-Najjar area south of Khan Younis.
Another citizen, Mo’men Balboul, was killed and several others—among them a child—were injured by Israeli artillery shelling on Mushtaha Street in the Shuja’iyya neighborhood, east of Gaza City.
Sources further confirmed that two children were killed and 10 others injured on Wednesday evening in an Israeli airstrike west of Khan Younis.
Civil Defense spokesperson Mahmoud Basal stated that five citizens, including a woman and a child, were killed by an Israeli strike targeting the Religious Endowments building in the Al-Zaytoun neighborhood near the Asqula junction in eastern Gaza City.
Basal also noted that three martyrs were killed and others wounded in an Israeli strike targeting a group of civilians inside a UNRWA club west of Khan Younis.
Additionally, one citizen was killed and dozens injured in a drone strike on a group of people near the Shuja’iyya junction on Salah al-Din Street, east of Gaza City.
Since October 7, 2023, the Israeli military has been carrying out a campaign of genocide in the Gaza Strip—killing, starving, destroying, and displacing civilians—while ignoring international appeals and rulings from the International Court of Justice demanding a halt.
The genocide has resulted in over 238,000 casualties, most of whom are children and women, more than 9,000 missing, hundreds of thousands displaced, and a famine that has taken the lives of many—including children—in addition to widespread devastation.
