DaysofPal- Israeli warplanes carried out new airstrikes on several areas in the Gaza Strip early Thursday, in continued violations of the ceasefire agreement now in its 34th day.
Local sources reported that Israeli aircraft bombed targets near Ahmad al-Shuqeiri School in Beit Lahia, northern Gaza, and launched additional strikes on the eastern outskirts of Gaza City. Israeli forces also demolished several buildings in the al-Tuffah neighborhood, east of the city, while armored vehicles opened heavy fire around the al-Shakoush area northwest of Rafah and in eastern Khan Younis.
The Palestinian Network of NGOs in Gaza confirmed that, to date, no humanitarian shelters or aid supplies have been allowed into the Strip. Adnan Abu Hasna, media advisor for UNRWA, said that hundreds of essential aid items remain blocked at the Zikim crossing, as the Israeli occupation continues to restrict humanitarian access.
“Nearly 90 percent of Gaza’s population is suffering from varying degrees of malnutrition,” Abu Hasna warned, stressing that the situation will deteriorate further unless tents and shelter materials are urgently allowed in, particularly with winter approaching. Many displaced families already living in deteriorating conditions.
According to data released by the Government Media Office in Gaza, Israeli occupation forces have committed 282 ceasefire violations since the truce took effect on October 10, 2025. These included 124 airstrikes and bombardments, 88 shooting incidents targeting civilians, 12 incursions, and 52 demolitions of civilian buildings, resulting in the deaths of 242 civilians and injuries to 620 others.
The current ceasefire was reached after two years of devastating genocidal warfare that left nearly 70,000 Palestinians dead and more than 170,000 wounded, according to official Palestinian figures.
Despite the truce, residents in Gaza say the violence and siege have not truly stopped, only changed form, as they continue to face bombardment, deprivation, and a worsening humanitarian crisis.
