DaysofPal- Hamas Movement has announced a formal agreement to end the Israeli war on Gaza, secure the withdrawal of Israeli occupation forces, allow humanitarian aid into the region, and initiate a prisoner exchange.
The announcement came early Thursday, marking the 734th day since the start of the Israeli genocidal campaign in Gaza.
According to a statement by the movement, the breakthrough followed serious negotiations involving Hamas leadership and other Palestinian factions, centered around a peace proposal put forward by U.S. President Donald Trump in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt.
Hamas called on Trump, the international guarantors of the agreement, and regional and global actors to ensure the Israeli occupation adheres to all the terms outlined in the deal.
“We pay tribute to our people in Gaza, Jerusalem, the West Bank, and the diaspora for their extraordinary bravery and resilience in the face of the Israeli occupation’s oppressive policies,” the statement read.
The Movement emphasized that the sacrifices made by Palestinians would not be forgotten and reaffirmed its commitment to national rights, liberation, independence, and the pursuit of self-determination.
Ezzat al-Resheq, a senior member of Hamas’s political bureau, stated that the ceasefire represents the result of the Palestinian people’s endurance and resistance.
“This truce is a national victory, symbolizing the unity of our people and their steadfast support for resistance as the only viable path against the Zionist occupation,” he said.
Separately, U.S. President Trump confirmed that both “Israel” and Hamas had agreed to the initial phase of his proposed ceasefire plan.
Qatar, a major mediator in the negotiations, also verified that a consensus had been reached on all components and implementation steps of the plan’s first stage.
