Israeli prison guards on Thursday evening stormed Palestinian prisoners' cells in Ashkelon jail and wreaked havoc on them.
The Palestinian Prisoner Society said that confrontations flared up between the Palestinian detainees and Israeli prison guards during the raid.
No injuries were reported, but one Palestinian prisoner was transferred to another section as a punishment.
The Palestinian Prisoner Society said that about 50 Palestinian detainees are held at Ashkelon jail, and they have been subjected to arbitrary raids and transfers on a regular basis since October 2019.
Thursday's raid was the second since the start of the new year, according to the Palestinian Prisoner Society.
