DayofPal- Medical sources in Gaza reported that at least 56 Palestinians have been killed in Israeli airstrikes across Gaza since dawn today, 39 of them in Gaza City and the northern parts of the Strip.
Fifteen Palestinians were killed in a strike that targeted a home sheltering displaced families near Halawa Roundabout in Jabalia town, northern Gaza, according to medical sources.
In another devastating blow, seven people lost their lives and others were wounded in an Israeli airstrike on a residential building in the Al-Yarmouk area of Gaza City.
Medical teams at Al-Shifa Hospital reported receiving the bodies of the seven and several injured after the attack leveled multiple floors of a residential block in Al-Yarmouk. Eyewitnesses described the scene as one of utter devastation.
Civil defense and medical crews are still combing through the rubble, searching for those feared trapped beneath the ruins.
A spokesperson for Gaza’s Civil Defense said that Israel committed two massacres within 12 hours in Jabalia alone, and that more victims remain buried under the debris.
The spokesperson also confirmed that four members of the civil defense team were among the dead in the Al-Yarmouk strike.
He noted visible burn marks on their bodies and stated that the Israeli strikes also targeted heavy machinery used to lift debris, the equipment that had only recently entered Gaza from Egypt.
Earlier today, two Palestinians were reported killed and others wounded in another airstrike on a home sheltering displaced people in Jabalia town.
This latest assault follows a deadly attack yesterday, where at least 10 Palestinians were killed in an Israeli strike on a school sheltering displaced families in Gaza City, according to local health officials.
Paramedics said the strike ignited fires in tents and classrooms at Yaffa School in Gaza’s Al-Tuffah neighborhood, where many had sought refuge.
Long after the bombs fell, flames continued to flicker through charred furniture as survivors sifted through the ashes of classrooms and courtyards, searching desperately for remnants of their lives.
